Can't get the Shift Knob to come out?
I still cant get that sucker knob out.
I even went to garages/dealers and they cant turn that sucker out.
Some of the car fixers indicated that it might be my previous owner had another shift knob and tried to put that in when selling it to me. In some way, he overscrewed the knob while the knob wasn't aligned, and thus stuck in there.
Nothing I could do.......

Looks like it is time for a short shifter, new shift knob, and shift boot.
Try kicking it! Right where that little notch sticks out, just put it in gear and give it a swift one. Drill holes in the bottom very light so it loosens around the bottom and pull it off. Drink alcohol before you do any of this though for better results. It should just screw off though, I gave mine a nice little one hand twist counter clock and it practically jumped off.
