I have decided to get a 09 Lancer GTS, and i am getting it anywhere between
3-7 days, and i have just a general questions for people that have a 09 GTS, my question is that ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR LANCER 09 GTS? is there any problems i shud be aware of, is the car fast enuf, basically are you happy with your decision?

 

its awesome but for like a lil bit more i could've got an evo X at the time, but now im gonna get the genesis coupe so its a plus

 

I love mine. Wish it had a few more HP but it goes fast enough for me. paint is pretty cheap so you might want to invest in mud flaps and maybe the 3M clear bra if there is lots of rocks and gravel around you. Overall, I love it and don't see myself trading it for quite a long time. Fun to drive and looks damn good. You won't be disappointed. One word of advice, if u can afford the little extra get the touring pack with the projector HID headlights. That is what most people wish was available when the 09's 1st came out.

i am loving just wished i woulda got the stock HID headlights... they didnt have that option when i got my 09

 

I have a 08 GTS and 1.5 years later Im already regretting buying the car so badly. Never would I expect to have issues with a car so fast as I did, especially having major issues with my dealership and Mitsubishi head office.

I probably would never wish these cars on my worst enemies just for the fact that Mitsubishi cuts so corners with these cars and don't seem to back up the warrenty they offer.


I might as well drive this car to the ground (will happen sooner than later), because if you try selling these cars you will lose your shirt.

 

i bought my car with 20 miles on it and around 4500 the tranny went 1st and 2nd gears and they where not going to cover it.......so i yelled at them until they got the mitsubishi rep to look at it...then they covered it after i threatend to cuz it up there...well u know.....i now have 9000 on her and its way better than when i first drove it off the lot. i think it was screwed from factory imo. i love the car now...and hate the ****ty service that my mitshui dealer offers. no complaints...trading for evo though in spring !

I've had my car over a year, 08 with 17k miles on it and I don't regret it one bit. It gets me to from point A to B with syle, notsomuch speed lol. I get compliments on my car on a regular basis and it's nice to drive a car you don't see around my area much. (I've seen maybe 5 since I bought it a year ago)

I went with Nav/Tech package, it's worth it IMO.

 

I just turned over 4000 miles on my 09GTS. I love it. The car is a lot of fun, fast enough for daily driver stuff for sure.

Mine is the Manual Transmission version with Sun and Sound package. Get the Manual, it is a lot of fun... not to mention the most forgiving of any manual I have ever driven.

As long as you do not expect a race car, you should be fine.

 

my sister has a fully loaded 09 GTS automatic, which is coming up near 10k miles. its practically my other car though. LOL. well, i like it. its not fast, but it has enough. the car is jumpy off the line, so it seems like it has more power than it does. but the car looks nice, ride nice, its comfortable, i love the navi, and its a good choice when i dont want to drive my Evo IX so far, i havent had any problems with the car
im pretty sure the manual version will be a lot more fun though.


if you're worried about lack of power, look at the Ralliart Lancer, which is the Subaru WRX' competitor.

 

very happy, but i would look into getting a used one if you find one in the color you want. unfortunately I wanted black and couldnt find a used one to save my life, before my blk 09 gts i had a RR 08 ES and i told my self i wanted GTS and it HAD to be black. so many used RR and WW came up when i was shopping for the GTS.

 

Wasn't too happy with it. Traded it in for an '09 Ralliart :-)

 

DO you guys have SLIGHT knocking noise when u listen to you engine? Nothing alarming but still present when u listen to it? sounds more like ticking...

 

Uhh...is this a common occurrence? Cause I'm planning on getting an '09 GTS in the next month or so and I definitely want it to last a good 5 years or so...

 

its regular..not an issue...my 09 gts i got back in september..almsot 12k on it by now..one thing id say u mUST do is get a new pulley and short shifter..totally changes feel of the car, not so much a granny wagon afterwards. but ya im dissapointed..i had a '06 tc(stolen, recovered, sold to dealer) and a '06 impreza (overheated a couple times..within the first few months of havin it, sold back to dealer =D) ..i ****in loved that impreza man, jus the awd made a WORLD of difference..i cant take ff, its jus not a real car to me, but it works..it works lol
