If you are planning to tune your car, I would go with the ES. But check out the interior of the OZ edition you might like that. That's the only dissapointment I got with buying an ES instead of OZ.

Why go with ES for tuning? You can do everything the same to an OZ. Plus OZ COMES IN YELLOW!!!!

If I had the money now, that I had when we got our 02 OZ, I'd buy a SRT Neon. Exterior IMO isnt as nice as Lancer... but I dont have to spend another $3000 to get turbo!

theyre the same car. the ES is THOUSANDS less. the interior isnt that big of a deal. dont get me wrong, i like a nice car. and mine is finally there. but a ring around the shifter and different gauges isnt worth thousands to me.

IF you do get an ES, get the convience package. i got it and its..for lack of a better word, convient.

good luck.

YOu can get a great dean on the ES now, and sometimes you can get the conveniece package with it. the only thing I wanted from the OZ is the guage cluster but whatever. I got an OEM wing for 175 painted and shipped to my door. and IMO it's the same car. get a sway bar too though.

HEY! What about a LS! I'd recommend a ES or LS if you plan on doing a body kit. Doesn't make sense to get an OZ if you plan on changing the body kit.

Oz all the way for me.
It just makes more sense to get a car that's already presentable, and then improve it even more, than a car that's basically an econobox with potential.

thats my vew on it. if i had planned to finance a body kit and rims with a new es, then thats a different story.

Es's are pretty alright, oz's are part way there already. just depends on how much liquid cash you have really.

Get Es if you're planning of putting after market body kit and nice 16"-17" rims.

if you plan on seriously modding your "vehicle" than go with the es... i was gonna redo my interior anyways... so that wasn't important to me

THanx for all the INPUT guys... everyones so CHILL... that's awesome... ANYWAYS

I thought about at SRT, b/c it's the most "bang for buck" car on the market, but i hear they are unreliable...

Also... BELIEVE me, i would get an OZ but I'm a freshman in college putting down half the down payment and making the monthly fees, I just don't think i can afford one... b/c to my knowledge aren't they like 3-5 G's more...

If i get an ES, first thing i WILL do is move my system over to the ES, Tint the windows... then probably get some 17's on them... What you guys think? Am i missin anything...
