I had it on my previous car (BMW E46 M3), i think the filter does a good job. However i had two issues: 1) its quite a hasstle to remove and install back in order to clean 2)cleaning it was a pain in the back side (Probably coz i live in an area that is too dusty and have several sand storms), and the cleaner always finishes before the oil...

I love mine. Had it since Nov. I have the CVT and can feel quite a diff in response. My MPG has gone up a bit over stock as well. It's not loud when you idle or just driving(can't really notice it at all), but when you punch it you can hear the roar, especially around 3K. Installation wasn't bad, the instructions could be a little clearer, but should take between 45mins to an hour. Overall, IMO it works great and well worth the money. You can't go wrong with a K&N.

Hey Brad how much do you think your mpg went up? This week I am installing the magnaflow cat back exhaust and I figured next week I would get the K&N cold air intake. Also how do you like your magnaflow exhaust ?

I find that I get at least an extra 50-75kms on a tank of gas and that's about half city and half h-way driving. More when I drive just on the h-way. I don't have the magnaflow yet. It's my next mod when I get my tax return. I've talked to a few other members who have it and they like it. I like it cause it doesn't look like a grenade launcher like the greddy and HKS,etc.

Well go for it.
Just do it.
I had the same thoughts but....I made a choice.
Install is mostly easy, except for instruction number 17 I guess that one was.
I just installed on saturday, so MPG is down obviously
I cannot tell perfomance difference, I mean, my butt dyno isnt that sensitive for only 7-8hp
What I can definitely tell u, is that it has an special sound at just 2000-2300rpms. a lovely sound besides what happens when u go past 4000rpms.
Just like some guy said he could chirp tires in dry pavement with CVT with the RRM timing box with only 8hp, that is just crazy.
You will enjoy it. NO MORE QUESTIONS GO BUY IT.
