K&N SRI: Coming Soon!
So because I live in Cali then it isnt a good idea that I get this intake just on the off chance some cop is a d**k?
even so.. i doubt a cop will know u have anything aftermarket a cop never asked me to ever open my hood.. alls u have to worry bout is smog.. but im sure ull pass or just use the stock setup..
Hi, I'm new in the mod and tuning, so I want to confirm what I have heard and read before. If I do the main changes as the SRI and Exaust change, can the check engine light come on? If it does, What is there to do to fix it?
and no bolt on exhaust out right now will cause ur CEL to come on..
Installed the K&N Typhoon Intake today. WOW
. It works awesome. took it out for about an hours drive on some straight and never busy back roads. I have the CVT and u could really feel the added response to it. I found that you could really feel the added power in the 4k and higher rpms. I haven't had any other CAI or SRI so I can't compare to that. It had a nice deep roar to it. It didn't sound ricey at all. I also got the drycharger for it as well. I talked to my local
where I go for all of my servicing and their service manager said I wouldn't get any hassles from them with the drycharger because they worry about the water. It was an extra $25 so oh well. I would highly recommend this intake

Looks good man thanks for the pics. Why did the installation take you 1:15 hours? Were there any issues or complications? I would've thought it would go pretty quickly in less than an hour.
Put some more miles on it though and see if you get a CEL. Fingers crossed
Also post some videos if you can with the car idling and revving so we can hear how it sounds.

It took over an hour because I had to keep chasing down my parents doberman puppy who kept sneaking out of the yard and stealing my tools. I had to keep chasing her down to get them back
It should take most people about 45mins to an hour maybe depending on your skills. K&N said it would take 90 mins. I'll try to track down a cam w/ video for you. When it idles, I would say it sounds about the same, maybe a tiny bit louder. When you rev u can sure hear the diff though.

I don't think it will go down for quite a while. Probably will be lots of people ordering them for a while. I payed $270 CDN w/ taxes. It was @ Canadian Tire though and I know u don't have them down their but their cost price was only $226 CDN so if u check around you can probably find it for just over 200 US. Go to K&N website and call all of u're local dealers. It will be the one u think will least likely have it will have the lowest price. Good luck
