what material is the heat shield made out of??? is it possible to custom fab one using this design if i were to go with RRM intake or Injen???

^ you wouldn't need a heat shield with the Injen intake, but you could fab one yourself for the RRM intake. Anything is possible with a little imagination and some time and money.

Crap, I was going to buy the RRM SRI v2, but after seeing this I think I'd just wait for the K&N. The heat shield looks pretty awesome, even though not as flashy as the RRM one.

cant wait to see how much its gonna be and see that dyno sheet. it looks like a really good set up almost like the rrm v2 but the sheild is plastic not aluminum so it shouldnt absorb as much heat. just guessing

wait, u made a custom intake? sorry im tired. but i made a design in my head for a custom intake, and is there a way i can tell a shop this idea of mine, and theyll make it for me? only worry is... if this is possible... would i get maf sensor problems like the fujita SRI. just a risk id take? idk.

Yup made my own SRI. Basically for the cost of a new filter.
