HELP!!!! Remote Start Install ALL REPLIES WELCOMED!!!

:h elpme:

Okay guys heres the scoop

I drive a 09 Lancer ES. I have purchased the Viper 5901, with the PKU-MIT3 to bypass the immobilzer... I just had the alarm installed at a authorized dealer, and they did a great job, I have some minor issues that will need to be worked out. The biggest issue I have now is the remote start. I was told that I was missing a plug that the bypass required.

Does the module require a relay to be hooked up? And how do I or the dealership program this module? I am pretty positive that the shop I took the car too has not seen the pkumit3 before because they keep trying to get me to give up a key. This is something I do not want to do, as there are security issues with the key being in the vechile, and I just spent 180 dollars on the damn key.

Does anyone out there know and have done this install on a lancer without the FAST key? And if so can they give me explicit instuctions on how to install and program this module to the 09 Lancer. Any help and adivce would be deeply appreicated.

Addendum:

The directions that came with the module say to use a jumper wire to power up the ignition switch, without starting the engine. I have the wiring diagram that the dealership kindly printed out for me, and I am not totally sure as to what I am looking at. The directions also say to use two valid keys to program the device. This conflicts with the Lancers Owner Manual, as to program a new key to the immobilzer you must insert two valid keys, and then insert a blank key in the ignition. Even at this point does the car emit some RF signal, or is the ID of the key read and scanned into the cars memory.

As you can see I have some questions, any answers would be greatly appreicated

I'm not 100% sure with the lancers but I've done a few Saabs that you insert 2 valid working keys, then insert the 3rd key (or more) to be programmed. I took the valet key (w/o the transponder) and inserted it with the module very close to the key and the module was programmed. However Saabs are a different animal than mitsus, and it wasn't exactly the correct way to do it.

You don't wanna try and jumper wires....the EASIEST way to do this is go get a METAL key cut the same as your key that starts the car. Then when it tells you to power up the ignition with a jumper you put the "all metal" key in the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.
Hope that makes sense.
