Cool Latest SCC is comparing the project WRX to EVO

Just got my SCC (sports compact car) from the mail last night. I have to say this is one of the best issue so far.

EVO VII vs SCC Project WRX (on mountain road and track), very informative article and comparason. I won't tell you the result, but I think you knew the answer.

Road Test of WRX Sti Type-UK. Very well writen article for those interested in the ultimate scooby like me.

Guide on picking Turbo chargers and Boost control

Too bad I was way too sleepy after work and don't have the time to scan it.

Great article by the way. High praises for the Evo in there. Too bad it was Euro spec, not US, eh?

Let's hope the it comes across very similar to Euro spec. For all you future Evo buyers out their. Hell, I'd love to see some 1 wheel powerslides.

Too bad they didn't review the Evo 8 since that's what we're getting.

If our (US spec) EVO is going to be anything like the Euro SPEC then you can sign me up for sure! Great article and if you haven't read it yet, go get it. I was blown away by the stopping distance compared to the 3G lighter Eclipse. You can put two lancers in the difference between the Lancer (heavier) and the Eclipse (lighter). Just goes to show stock brakes suck on most average cars. That's why 6000lb SUVs should be governed.

Cool

I hope SCC really knows what it is talking about when they say no ACD or AYC for the US spec EVO. Cuz if it is so then can forget about me as well as other people about purchasing this car. And to think that they are going to charge almost 30K for this car without its main essentials. What are they on... Why is it that these fools don't see that the customer is what makes the buisness not how much you can swindle them out of. So basically we'll be paying top $ for a US subby in a different skin. :

SCC is just reporting rumors they've heard. They have nothing to back it up. Same goes with the rumors you hear on these forums. You won't know until Mitsubishi releases the final specs. And then it will take at least 2 months before SCC has the final specs in their magazine.

I don't think it would be so much a matter of cutting costs for Mitsubishi so much as passing US regulations. Someone's posted about this rumor before (not suprisingly). I don't see AYC as essential in the Evo, but it definitely sets it apart from other comparable cars. It'd be a shame to lose the ACD though. :\ Could be possible to swap in a JDM ACD, right? Not like it matters...I'm not getting one.
