I've got the white LED license plate lights and I think it looks way better. I don't think blue leds would look rice, if u were installing blue underglow all around the outside of your car, then I would have to say that is chicken fried rice.

Its a good idea to see both if you can. Don't worry about looking rice, just make your car however You want it to look like and if it ends up being considered rice to someone else, then oh well. The only opinion that matters is yours, you shouldn't be worried about trying to not look rice.

With that being said, I think blue LEDs on the license plate would look nice and clean. A simple mod that wont draw too much attention.

Yeah! Make your own definition of rice and stick to it. Mod your car to YOUR tastes, not mine.
Don't ask me what color looks best. I ain't driving your car, so I don't give a flyin f* which color looks best on YOUR ride. Ask YOURSELF what color YOU think looks the best on YOUR car!

Same thing for wheels. Why should you care what wheels I think look good? It's YOUR fkin car. Pick what YOU think looks good because none of us here will drive YOUR car.

Jeez I'm tired of people asking what looks good what doesn't.
If 1 guy like to f*ck 400lbs chicks... does that mean you're gonna start playing the same ball game because that guy thinks it's the bestest ever? No... you'll keep f*ckin the size you like. So why is it any different with YOUR car? We'll tell you what kind of condom is better, we won't tell you who to use it with.

We'll tell you what brand of wheels are solid, but we won't tell you which style to pick.

I would say the definition of "Rice" is pretty shapeless and varies from person to person. But... I'm pretty sure everyone can agree that a basic element of riceness is attracting attention in a tacky and childish manner. This would include fake "APC" sponsorships via windshield banners, LED nozzles on the hood, and just general d-bag items that offer no performance and more attention. I am personally a fan of skull shaped shift knobs and body kits that are barely bolted on and obviously hurting the aerodynamic aspects of the car.

Blue license plate LEDs are definitely an attention grabber, but they are pretty benign compared to some of the other things I see on cars. I wouldn't automatically write those off as RICE as I'm sure they could be pleasing to the eye, but I'm sure there are better and more tasteful ways to modify your car. Nevertheless you are the final arbiter of what direction your lancer goes in.

I think what everyone is trying to say is... The blue is good if you like it. Go for it.
