The story goes the car mod crew order tail lights that would fit the forth coming Lancer they believed that since it was built on the lancer platform that the TYC tailights would fit and low and behold when the got the Blue Evo VII on a friday three days before the deadline Monday, the measurements where off by 1/4. So Craig and the others had to modify the tailight bay and paint them.
That info came form The Fast and the Furious Car design book.

why would you do this?
THIS IS NOT THE CAR FROM THE MOVIE!! for all who seem to be easily confused! the EVO 8 wasnt in production yet when they were making the movie.
they did a great job in copying it, but why?!

Ive heard a lot of different things about it. Some say its terrible others say its a lot better than the first one. But Im going to check it out for myself and see how it is.

The plot is awful. The acting is shameful.
The cars are cool. The cinematography is outstanding.
I didn't think that this was possible, but I thought that the movie was horrible, but nonetheless very entertaining. More entertaining than the first...
The best part? In the first race, Suki: "Smack That A$$"

Anyone see the part where they show what happened after "Brian Spilner" gave the keys to his Supra? He travels cross country racing people, and then he buys his Skyline from some old man's dealership. LoL!!
yea, the dealership scene killed me. I wonder who's garage he was in when he managed to weld a c-west body kit to his gtr. Also noticed a couple of cinegraphic mistakes. When the gtr first pulls into the race and crowd of people, there is no gtr badge anywhere on the car. The front grill is emblemless. However, several shots during the race, the skyline boasts a gtr badge on the grill. This was also prevalent on the evo 7 throughout the flick. Its on, its off, its on, its off?!
