Nah, the Evo in the movie is really an Evo 7. Evo 7 had a 'lancer' tag that looks like an OZ rally tag, but if look closely, it only say lancer on it, not OZ rally.

anyone else notice that the evo in that movie is using the lancer taillights too? its pointed at the ends like ours going into the quarter panel, whereas the evo cuts off in a straight, vertical line. i wonder how and why the did that..

Wasn't this discussed before when the movie origanally came out???

And I think that there were 3 EVO VII(there could have been more) and the ones that they wrecked, ragged out, cut to fit cameras, or destroyed were Lancers. But all the badges on all the cars said Evolution VII and only had a Lancer badge, not the OZ Rally one!

My boy was in that movie. In the beginning, the guy with the Red Shirt that points at the trunk of his Black BMW (all Carbon Fiber by the way) and the two amps are coming up as if by hydrolics. Right before the first race of the movie.

Yes. Two Evo VII's were brought to the US by Ralliart Spain.

jus to let u know, when the movie was being made, there was a wish list that went around of 20 cars ppl wanted to see in the movie and YES the OZ rally edition was one of em.

Rent the dvd and in bonus features theres a option called
"Inside 2 fast 2 furious" watch that.

I got pretty excited to see our car was getting reconized, I know the EVO's are like 10000000 times better but still, we got reconized

the dvd production crew came to my work and displayed the EVO and the Camero...

on the EVO... when you look at it up close, you can really tell that it's just a hollywood car... the engine bay was painted, color tubing, and i think it had a dummy intercooler (couldn't tell, i jus assume because it wasn't connected to anything)... and with the tails, they are made for the lancer, not the EVO... there are noticable gaps on the back... but like i said earlier, it's a hollywood car... i got pics of it, it's on my sister's computer... i'll post them as soon as i can find them...

If you watch they do use the Rally Edition Lancer as one of there cars. They show one of them being the pics in the extras for the DVD. It is in there somewhere.

I'll have to go get the DVD or rent it. IMO I didn't think the movie was too bad, it was definitely fun.

if you wuld select all the options in the DVD you wouldnt have anymore questions.

i dont see anyone debating on weather or not that was a real skyline.

why would they do all the conversions in putting a 4g63 engine in an OZ? hmm..they wouldnt. im sure they had enough money to use the real thing.

they also drop 50g into an EVO 8 for the hell of it.

The only thing about the DVD I didn't like was that they didn't use DTS surround sound like the first movie.

why would you do this?

THIS IS NOT THE CAR FROM THE MOVIE!! for all who seem to be easily confused! the EVO 8 wasnt in production yet when they were making the movie.

they did a great job in copying it, but why?!
