could someone explain to me whyyyy people decide to lower their large trucks to the ground???

im driving into columbia today and... there was a silverado and an f150 i passed that were lowered, big rims, etc.

now im wondering...do these people not get the purpose of a big truck is to be "a big truck". or do they really want a car but they got a truck by mistake? lol

i know u can race trucks too, but com'n... lots of people dont, and decide to turn their huge trucks into ultralow street riders.

maybe somebody with a large IQ or someone whos had these trucks before can me out. thanks!

One of my friends bought a Jeep a couple years ago and he's still working on restoring it and modifying it; including a lift kit. Whenever he sees a lowered truck or, god forbid, a lowered Jeep, he starts swearing out the guy. I understand why; the idea of a truck is to go over rough terrain; when you can't go over a speed bump, there's a problem somewhere; and it ain't the bump.

 

One of my friends has a 03 Z71 black on black , lowered 4 inchs (Not slammed) blacked out with light tint heads and tails with a built motor .

Trust me he will beat alot of cars .
Btw i love how his truck looks . Looks alot better then alot of show and shine cars i see on these forums .

 

everyone has there own taste in vehicles and styles that is why people do it. On another note why buy a Z71 4x4 offroad package and drop it he might as well just bought a 2wd and saved a lot of weight

I once thought a SVT Lightning was a cool truck. I guess I couldn't look past the supercharger and realize what I was thinking.
