OEM Side Air Dam

Would putting side air damns and replacing stock 16" wheels with 18" make my 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer look lower? Also if you have aftermarket rims 16" please post pics!

I am probably going to get 17'' 18''s seem a little big and i think 17''s should be perfect lowered soon after that
