I'm pretty sure that pic is a guy on the forum's old RX-7, but I may be mistaken. Too lazy to check and it's not really worth it.

Removing air bags from a street registered vehicle is a federal offense similar to tampering with a functioning catalytic converter. Besides, it's the best safety feature you have after um...brakes and a seatbelt. You may not get caught, but hell...it's your life.

yes it is an rx-7 in the picture.. but i also second someone else's opinion on just getting an evo 8 steering wheel or just stuffing some extra large pillows in front of the evo 7 steering wheel..

there are aftermarket steering wheels with airbags now. You could get the Evo8 wheel, or Grant makes some I think. Just look around, they're becoming a trend, because like they said, you can't remove the airbag.

Yup, go with the Evo VII or VIII wheels - they contain the airbag, thus making them legal!

I voted yes, it's your life but then maybe the idea of being a CTD (Crash Test Dummy) appeals to you?

It is a FEDERAL crime to remove an airbag from a road car.

I totally agree. A seat belt saved my life. I would never **** with any of the things that are for safety. Its just stupid.
