help for a fellow lancerlot

I received info throught this site about a cooling fan controller recall which lead me to figuring out why my fans would not run, and i am now looking for info about my a/c.The compressor comes on for approx. 90seconds cold as winter but the the compressor shuts down and blows hot air again.
I know ther has to be other lancer drivers who have had this problem would really appreciate a little help.

Your compressor is most likely going out. Sadly AC issues are some of the hardest to troubleshoot just on symptoms. Usually have to take it to a specialist and have them run all the tests.

Go under the car and play with the compressor clutch if there is play or maybe it makes chatter sound then the ac clutch is bad . I just replaced it myself and refill and part cost me 90 to do . But if thats good check freon level and pressure valve .
Or last thing to check is the compressor relay .

Might even be controls or sensor in the ac box .

If i were you i'd go to a salvage yard, you could probably pick up a compressor there for less than that.
