nope, requires major cutting and welding. you'd need a evo rear cut and even then its not a simple cut and paste.

the outlander rear section bolts in for the most part. The rear frame rails will need to be sleeved for the long awd subframe bolts to thread through.

Will the evo 8 rear control arms, diff bolt into the outlander rear subframe ? Also what year outlander is the rear from ? Just out of curiosity, do you mean you would have to cut the trunk out along with inner fender wells or even more involved than that ? Im not saying it wouldn't be easier to just sleeve the two rear rail bolts, just wondering for my own knowledge. Thanks

Edit: Nevermind about using rear evo control arms, just read through your build to find out the rear wheels line up with the outlander control arms.

to expand on your question no evo parts to my knowledge will interchange with the outlander rear without major modification. outlander rear is from a 03-05 outlander awd.
you have to slice into the frame rails and insert sleeves for the long subframe bolts...
to start cutting out trunk and fender wells ect. I would think might start to compromise the structural integrity of the unibody chassis. To anyone else check my build thread much of this info is covered there.

cheers.

Question 4g9x

Would an evo trans (with the transfer case) fit on a 4g9x block? And if so, would it cost more to fabricate mounts to install a rear diff or take out the welded one on a lancer to bolt an outlander's? Curiosity.

And one more thing: To all of you "Buy an Evo instead", know this: the Lancer has 9 generations. It was built before the Evo and it's likely that it will outlast it (out of fuel economy reasons). There are many who would love an Evo but cannot afford it. So, if that's your only reply in life to lancer owners, SHOVE IT!

4g6x parts dont match up very nicely to 4g9x parts. talk to turbo time about making your lancer awd converted...yes it would be neat but the amount of fab and time to do so imo doesnt make it even worth it, plus not to mention sourcing parts just to even consider doing it....
