weve started a company that is importing the evos for legal road use. We currently have six's on the way and are taking down payments for them. We are also bring in the sevens as well but not for a few more months, down payments on these cars have started as well. The cars are all LHD and will take up to 3 months to update it to us spec. we can bring any year evolution in but some might take more work than others. We are working on a web page now till take some time. We just started the company about two weeks ago so we have alot of work to before we really go public. We are taking down payments for the evo VI TM editions and well sell the frist 15 for about $55,000. We know of only 34 new cars left but we can get all the used cars you want.. We can or you may find a car then ship it here where it has to be brought up to us spec-bumper- lights etc.. and a new computer with OBD2 has to applied- but dont worry we made sure that it dosnt efect hp.. this process dosnt take to much time about 3-4 months shipping and converting. most used cars will be around $30,000 and goes up from there.. The process takes alot of money hell crash testing the cars alone takes 600,000 plus three cars.. so you see we are tring to keep cost as low as possable thanks
So if your doing the crash testing and becoming a legal importer for street us then the DOT should have you on record right? What years of the Evo are you referring to and only the GSR or the RS model as well? Do you have a business license number that we can verify? How much does this conversion cost? When is the DOT or NHTSB going to add the Evo to the importable cars list? Won't we still be required to put forward a bond worth 150% the value of the car before it can leave the customs yard for your shop? What will the car then have to registered as?

This is all true, and is in process..It takes 6 weeks for us to become a regesterd busness and get a dealers lincense.. weve started 3 weeks ago and will have all that info to everyone soon..Now were taking orders on the cars and starting the conversion process.. the frist group of cars is on its way, thell be here in 3 weeks form now.. the cars will at that point finsh the testing and converting and get its dot approval,this will put the car on DOT record.. this is all being done at GNK auto conversion out of cali..this is all i know Adam the main owner can answer all you more technical qustions about the company, you may e-mail him at evolutionimports@aol.com
