Yipppeeee, the FIA rally Acropolis starts tonight through til Monday on Speed Channel. My mechanic and I will be watching this one for sure as he used to drive for Audi in the 80's, back in the days of those crazy Group B cars. Acropolis used to be his fav event.

Acropolis rally=hot. Reading up on the team, it looks that they don't wanna change the specs of the cars to much from Argentina rally.

 

's updated WRC is supposed debut at the Rally of Finland in August. Maybe they'll introduce the Evo 8 in Japan at that time too...

 

Wouldn't that be nice, but I doubt it. The updated car will still be an Evo VII only they will be calling it a step 2 car. Apperently the current Evo VII World Rally Car still shares a lot of Group A spec Evo VI parts. They are looking to be replacing more Group A spec parts to WRC spec. Hopefully, with the new car, the Evo will become more competitive again. After that Mitsubishi needs one really good driver.

The contracts of Colin McRae and Carlos Sainz with Ford expires at the end of this season. Hmmmmmm.....hint, hint, Mitsubishi.

 

Delacour=old. Keep Alister and bring the brother. And futz...that info about the why the hell is using Group A parts (USE GROUP B! ) is upsetting...feh.
