oh man, that would be sweet, id waste my suspension money on that for sure, hood/trunk/mirrors would be sick and would probably lighten the car up considerably with some carbon fiber interior arrangements.

I've heard that Carbon Fiber interior trim takes at least 2 seconds of your quarter mile time.

Rob, once again, gotta ask you a question that could be misconstrued as coming down on RRM. Gonna say for the record one last time that I love RRM's bravery in making parts for the Lancer, and their faith in the vehicle. Can't wait to get the short shifter and possibly a strut bar from you guys.

BUT... gotta ask. Just looking at your short ram again, a little closer this time, and heat shield aside, is it basically just a filter plugged into the MAS air? The reason for my question is due to a kid with a "fabbed short ram" that is essentially the same thing on a Cavalier (mentioned in the drag forum), and if it is basically what I just described, I'm wondering if you know the dyno results for that part alone. Just trying to get an idea of what I'm up against.

It is a legid quesstion. Our Short Ram or Intake is a very simple design yes. The best part of it is the MAS Adapter which funnels down the air into the exact shape of the MAS opening on the Lancer. This is where we feel our intake is a value. RMR doesn't even have an adapter, it is just a ring welded to the heatshield. Not the best design. Like I have always said. If you want more than you need then by all means it is availble. But it is not necessary. Our intake was tested on the Lancer (and not dynoed) but rather data logged and it repeatedly made the car faster 0-60 by .75 seconds. No other manufacturer even offers anything close to that in writing!! None of them even care to try it. I don't know why. Perhaps there overpriced intakes will in the end be equal or close to our $99 version. We try our best and we also try to make stuff that is cost effective for you guys. Thanks Rob
