Lancer Sportback impressions
Lancer Sportback impressions
Sadly I'm looking at downgrading from my evo to a small hatchback car and was wondering what sportback drivers impressions were. Looking at the reviews the vibe I get is don't bother because you can find a better hatchback. I wanted to hear what people who have actually driven it. I'm not looking at the rallisport version just the basic gts with CVT for commuting purposes. I'm also curious about the nav system/music server. The music server is one feature I wish was an option on every car honestly.
Hey. I drive a '10 GTS Sportback, though with the five-speed rather than the CVT. I absolutely adore it. The ride on stock springs is sporty enough to let you feel the road, but won't break your spine on a manhole cover. The steering is quick, though isn't extremely comunicative. The engine is peppy, and pulls well from most of the rev band. And of course there's the looks. I've yet to see another small hatchback that looks half as good as the Sportback. So yeah, a hearty endorsement from me. Hope this helped.
I own a 09 sportback, MT. Everyday I love jumping into it and driving it! I'm an outdoor guy so the sportback made a lot of sence to me. I can toss my 99 trek mountain bike in the back without removing the tires!
Reviews are reviews, I don't recall any of them are from people who actually own them. I also own a 09 ralliart(wife's car) and the small differences are only the AWD and recaros. The turbo is somewhat lackluster for its weight to HP.

I actually just bought a 2010 sportback last week and I love it so far... I play hockey and needed something that I could fit all my gear in so I decided to get the sportback rather than the sedan.
The music/nav system is amazing imo.
There are better, but i mean, if you could get a great deal on the car with it coming with the package, i love it.
Im the type to blast my music not to be obnoxious, but i feel more at ease when driving with crazy people on the road.
if you got any specific questions about the navi, just lnk. I own a 09 GTS Sedan CVT.

I've had my fully loaded octane blue'10 Lancer Sportback GTS for two weeks and love it. Lot of peeps dont like the rear hatch and I was not to found from pics but in person its the best feature about the car. Its so different. I've only seen two others here in Dallas,Tx. Everyone at my job loves it and when driving it turns alot of heads.

A lot of people are not found of it so far. Personally I like it a lot, the only thing I thought mitsu screwed up was the design of the tails on it. Pretty bland, should of just kept the tails from the other lancers.
Your gonna feel a huge drop in power from an evo, IDK, maybe you can get into the RA sportback to soften the blow. Regardless, it's not horrible, It's a fun economical car and you'll get use to the power.

did you take them off of the car to tint them? how hard was it to remove them if you did? I have a can of niteshade and have been thinking about doing this for a while but never took the time to figure out how to remove the tails
