Disconnect negative terminal on battery.
Turn wheel so you can get to the part that clips in.
Find and disconnect the two wires (horn and airbag)that connect to the wheel.
Find the slot where the hex screw is at and tug away - it can take a while...
**Make sure to STRAIGHTEN your steering wheel and then remove it.**
Reverse and enjoy.

also check your local laws, i know in australia its illegal to alter/change the steering wheel on an airbag equiped car.

werrrd..

yeah I just called around until I found a place that sold momo wheels and hubs on the regular. they then called momo and ordered a hub adapter the US 2003 lancer for me. just call around
and you'll find someone. in my case, it was 'auto toyz' in west edmonton mall that got it for me. took about 3 weeks, due to
customs sucking *** moving crates slowly (inspections and ****)

let me know your progress on relocating the cruise control switch
as I won't be putting mine in until mid january due to a financial
crisis of blowing money on strippers in bc and christmas crap.

Hit the front bumper really hard with a sledge hammer... and the top of the steering wheel automatically pops off.. its pretty cool

There are no hub available for US/Canadian Lancer as yet. My shop try to install it yesterday and it was so suprising how the connector on our lancer, instead of the male and female adapter, they use the U connector. Damn it, now I cannot return the stuff to momo since I bought all through the internet.
