Well, let me know when you're 100% sure. Until then I'm not adding anyone else. Again, they will be available on special order regardless so you can get them anytime. It's just a matter of whether a bunch of people want to get together to save money. Still waiting to find out how many and how much.
hey thoes are my pics, haha
i paid $711 for the custom rods, not including the gas i spend driving down to sandiego to give them a stock sample.
this is going to be a great deal, jump on it
good luck on the GB!!

So Hobie these are $599 regular price? However, Link286XT payed $711 for these? How many buyers to get a price lower then $599 if this is "new" regular price. Because obviously Link286XT payed alot more when he bought them at regular price. If you can tell me numbers (prices) with the number of buyers needed, and how much we will pay, then I will give a 100%. I will be buying these eventually, so might as well get them now if price is right. Lemme know.
i had mine made in june, and i didnt get them till sept sometime, it will take +10 weeks to make, when you do a group buy the vendor will offer them cheaper cuz more will be purchased. this wont be a part you will get a week later...

Again, I'm waiting on number needed and pricing from VI. Shaun is/was supposed to give me a call as soon as he contacts Crower. If I don't have an answer by Thursday I'll call up on Friday, but I've got a lot of school work to do right now so I can't make this my top priority. I will get you all the info needed though.
I think Billy got it rough because he went directly to Crower too. Usually retailers get breaks on pricing (which is why I went to VI in the first place) so that retail price plus a group buy rate should be pretty awesome. I'm guessing it's gonna be 5 people. 10 would probably be the absolute max. If there's reasonable interest maybe VI would pick up a couple sets to hold in stock for future orders. I guess we'll just see.
If it's only 5 I think this should be pretty easy. Again though, I have nothing concrete at this point except for the regular price of $599.
Just thinking of what these cars can do with a stronger rod/piston setup has already got me going.

I'm pretty sure Vince is interested as well, but I don't want to confirm anyone who's not 100%. I'm not in the business of sticking retailers with unmovable stock, especially when I asked them about the group buy and not the other way around.
