thats odd. most people would think of a lancer as a 4door sedan-sport car wannabe....but i dont, i'm just glad the lancer isnt another civic

speaking of civics. i saw the worst one today. it had the ugliest body kit, stock tires, no exhuast(there was a big whole where the exhaust was supposed to be -which happened to still be stock) and it was all crack and dinged with holes. goodstuff

yeah everyone has different opinions on when a car becomes ricey.. some start at bodykits being ricey, some say colored windscreen wipers are ricey... i rekon a car is too ricey when you look at it and say "that just looks over the top"... but not everyone will agree to the same extent what is ricey or not, so you can't please everyone when modifying your exterior.

My opinion on rice is when the exterior mods come first/foremost over performance. I mean, I think that it's sorry to see a car with a GT wing, a body kit, a sidestripe kit, and a chrome exhaust TIP. I think that's Rice at it's best.

Care to clarify?

I know the way these threads usually go, so can we please keep this one civil so it doesn't end up getting closed? These threads end ugly...almost without exception.

...I just think people should do whatever they want to their car. I mean its ok to give opinions, but thats a long way from from criticism. I for one am not the criticizing type. Its their time and money, just let 'em have their fun.

I love rice, especially with my moms adobo and some fried chicken.

Now there you go gettin' me all hungry and stuff.

I tend to agree with shmoo. Your car, your (bad?) taste, you're the one who's gotta drive it around. No harm done either way.

I think it's kinda funny how nobody ever says "I'm gonna have the riciest rice wagon rice rice rice" yet there are so many "ricey" cars out there. It's all a matter of taste really.

On a side note: I saw (briefly before I passed it) the rare 4g Mirage Type R. Couldn't help but chuckling. Middle aged woman driving for the curious.

i actually live on rice, i put the rice cooker next to my bed

anyways. i think there wouldn't be so many ricey lancers if there were more performance parts.

and the rice on lancers is what... just the rims and body kits that are pretty new.

Any particular reason? Building a good (or at least decent) exhaust system is a great percursor to underhood mods especially future TCing.
