Wtf cop
and it is yellow bulbs, no tape or cheap stuff
i guess ill have to check the ordinance then somehow??
but i was really really really respectful, still i got slammed with all this, garabage. must have been a bad mood.
Get your license updated and your insurance for that matter AND get yellow bulbs replaced and go to court, take your stuff to the judge with proof of it being fixed and be remorsefull--not a dick ( not that you would be) and he will likey throw out at least 1 ( the license) and reduce the fine on the other--at the very least cut both fines in half-- just say you didn't know and got it fixed as soon as possible once it was pointed out.. case closed. Maybe you'll get lucky and the cop wont even show..
You need to change your way of thinking....
Rather then focusing why you got the ticket, figure out what you are going to do to fix it. If in fact they are against the the city ordinance, than it was not n act of desperation, but rather a citation for a violation.
You may be right, it may have been PC (probable cause) to pull your vehicle over, just to see if you were drunk. However, if the cop was so desperate as you say, he would have also tacked on every violation plausible, I'm sure you have an exhaust and plenty of other violations that you COULD be cited for.
The facts.... You got a ticket, it ****ing blows ... i know I hate it too...
the truth, you took a gamble by breaking the ordinance (If there is one) and need to pay a fine.
Now I cant speak for the conversation that took place between you two, but also reflect on how that went... were you as polite and courteous as you could have been? ( I dont want an answer, but be honest with yourself) If it truly was just a reason to pull you over for a dui check, and you were polite there would have been no citation.
If you were polite and you were cited, than i was not a PC for a simple DUI check, it was an officer calling your bet you wouldnt get in trouble for breaking the law.... believe it or not, officers have a large amount of responsibility and "making up" laws is not something they can do.

HOW DARE YOU?!? You're not allowed to make sense in here....
To the OP - if you are asking for advice, post the vehicle code sections you were cited for. What you did is akin to - "My doctor said I have some sort of illness. What do I do to fix it?"
If you are posting just to rant, disregard this.
yep thanks everyone. im gonna get all this mess changed soon.
the headlights... checked with a local friend whos friends with the sherriff and if you buy the car with yellow bulbs installed you are not at fault, but i prob need to fix em anyway.
as for the the liscense... checked with the dmv( yea i know ) and college students are allowed to have their home address on their liscense.
