Twin Loop Muffler???
So I recently discovered this muffler which is "new" to me. What do you guys think? Anyone know anything about these? Better than a straight tip for my 02 Lancer? Thanks - heres a pic...

"This twin loop dual canister muffler incorporates a race inspired stainless steel muffler and piping design for greater flow. For normal muffler, only high RPM power gains, but for twin loop muffler, it gains more torque in low-mid RPM also; thus, providing the required silencing and clear sound. The method used with this muffler to reduce noise is mainly absorption. The pulses have to travel through the muffler twice, which basically makes the muffler twice as long with twice the sound killing power. Also some acoustical tuning goes into making a muffler like this as well. With brass wind instruments, you change the note by selecting different length tubes for the air to travel. Longer tubes will give a deeper note while shorter tubes give a higher note. This type of muffler basically lengthens the tube, allowing sound waves to spread out and emit a deeper tone once exiting the system. The twin-pass design flows as well as a straight-through but will sound much quieter. This twin loop muffler will dramatically increase 8-10% horsepower."

The DCsport TCS looks more like the second one and i found this description:
"The DC Sports TCS(Twin Canister System) is a unique system that utilizes two seperate 4.5" round race style mufflers. This style enables the ability to create a quite yet effective exhaust system. The TCS system features CNC machined flanges for a perfect fit along with mandrel-bent stainles steel tubing. Best of all, this system is 50 state legal! This is one awesome DC Sports system."

I found some of these on ebay along with the description. The first muffler didnt have a description, but the second (JDM's) did. I'll also out it with the pic, but here it is:

I don't want to sound like the old man, but if this is a valid concern, maybe you should stick to mods that are a little more safe for your lifestyle...
Given that your EvoM garage lists no modifications, I'd strongly suggest upgrading your rear swaybar as a first step (especially because your car doesn't have one, IIRC). If you truly want to go muffler, I like the basic Magnaflow axleback I got for my 2002 OZ. It was quiet but still had a nice rumble.

It varies by the motor and the rest of the exhaust but you'll lose a little power compared to other straight through mufflers, however the sound should be quieter.
I have to say I adore how it looks on my car. I have yet to see anyone else with one, so in my area that makes me unique, and thats how I like it. One thing I was pissed at was a rattling coming from none other than my TLC muffler. So I took out the silencer tube (I guess thats what it was, tho the muffler itself didnt get much louder) which was real easy and now even tho it doesnt look as fantastic w/o the insert tube-thing, it sounds much better. Very low, very quiet tone. It does NOT have a low "rumble" or "throaty" sound at all, so if youd rather have that, Id go with what our Mod suggested or something similar.
Now as for "King of Poop," first off, change your name. Second, I have no idea what your talking about. As was mentioned, it will sound different with different engines, but it is not "high pitched" at all. Any other questions about the basics, keep posting. Otherwise keep on the lookout for my pics in the show and shine. Thanks -
