It should be on the right side of the trunk for better weight distribution. Are you still up for helping me relocate my battery next month?

And as far as the enclosed box, what does it protect against? I noticed it is required in organizations if the battery is placed in the driver's compartment, but I don't see any requirements for trunk mounted ones.

if its not dry cell then most organizations require it to be in a sealed box if it is outside of the engine bay, incase the battery leaks or the car is in an accident they dont want acid all over the place. Thats my understanding anyways.
