Nope, the evo 7-9 trunks are only interchangeable with the 02-03 lancers.

 

Why would you want to do that? if it's because of the wing, it's easier/cheaper to buy an evo wing and mount it on your current trunk lid. You wouldn't want to loose the license plate space either, and on top of that like the guy above me said, it's not compatible with the 2005 lancers.
Just FYI, the evo trunk lid is not made of aluminum or anything like that, it's just a regular sheet metal trunk lid

 

not true.. will fit and bolt on with no modification to the trunk however there will be some gaps.

tail lights need to be replaced with 02-03 tails for good fitment there and rear bumper will need to be replaced or a 02-03 bumper to eliminate swooping gap created by the 04+ trunk lip on the 04+ bumper.

 

sorry guys i made a mistake i meant an evo 8 boot but yeah im upgrading my rear bar so it will have a plate holder and i want a flat boot because i dont like the look of the 05 boots

also i am getting an Evo 8 spoiler so im trying to get the boot with the spoiler on it save hastle save cash

 

evo8 boot is the same man.. you will need to change your tails out for the flat 02-03 tails and your rear bumper out to the 02-03 bumper or else you will have the open dip in the bumper.
