cool site

FYI.......

I found a pretty cool web site that lists performance specs for hundreds of different cars(0-60, 1/4 mile times and more!). The statistics are generated using some sort of physics program and the results are very accurate.

Unfortunately, our stock lancer is one the slowest cars listed.

0-60mph in 8.99 sec and 1/4 mile in 16.80 sec.

The site is www.car-videos.com

Go to performance specs, then to list of all cars!!

Enjoy.

8.99 is a pretty good pull on a stock lancer.

It depends where you are really as far as how common they are. Around here in VA I see allot of Lancers... and allot are girls driving the OZ. But hey some of them are cute, so you won't hear any complaints from me.

You know, it's better having a car which everyone thinks is slow. I once saw a super fast Toyota Trecel that looked stock but the kid had put a turbo in it and the thing hauled @$$, I think he might have done an engine swap but I am not sure. I think it is more amazing to see a normally slow car that's been tuned into something that can eat other cars. Having a fast sports car is nice but taking your normal car and making into something better is much more fun IMHO.

Shingen, i agree with what you said about making a normally slow car fast being better. However, i do not consider any of the modified us lancers fast. I do not have the kind of money to buy a turbo or go all out on NA. All i care about really, as far as performance mods, is beating slightly modified civics and such.

Ive been seeing more of our car around lately and dont like that it is becoming more common. However mine is more unique looking than any i have seen in person (not counting the supermodified ones on this site). The only modified lancer i have seen is purecoda's. When i do see somebody driving a lancer it is usually a guy. I dont want to be driving no girls car. Usually when i see a girl driving one it is yellow, which many ppl including myself consider a girls car color. Sorry i dont mean to offend you guys with the yellow, its just my opinion.

i guess we all need to realize that there are different weight classes for cars. the evo is more in the heavyweight class and we are in the featherweight class.

Nice site. Bookmarked on my Mac!

FYI, the PDA Dyno I'm selling does the same things and more that this site explains. ET, 0-60, 1/8 and 1/4 mile etc... Check it out in the Lancer Vendor Forum under PDA Dyno.
