Which Lancer Is Better?
Which Lancer Is Better?
I know this is dumb, and I admit that I'm a novice on this. But I fell in love with the Evolutions. Unfortunately, my country (Canada) does not approve to import Evos. So I'm sticking with the basic Lancers. But I have alot to choose from for the 2004 edition ones.
Heres the two that I want to get but don't know which one is better in the performance/price wise.
1. Lancer OZ Rally Manual => Base Price CDN$20098
2. Lancer Ralliart Manual => Base Price CDN$21988
Which one is better in the performance/price ratio? And can I get aftermarket parts (ie. Turbos, intercoolers, pistons, etc) that fits in either of the models at the moment?

I'm not quite sure, since I want to get an aftermarket Turbo plus intercoolers and such (not to mention that cool Defi gauges). But I don't really want to void the warranty they give me.
I know, after all those options they allow me to upgrade (mitsubishi motor stock stuff) its around CDN$22300.

I really admire that Ecplise Clutchless Shifting. It really eases out people that want to drive in manual but fuzzes about the clutching and timing on those gears.

If you're getting 04, then get Ralliart. The extra HP is most definitely worth the money and you'll still be able to upgrade as time goes on and the parts are created.
Well, Vince can tell you that the new Ralliart can keep with if not beat a turbo'ed 02-03 Lancer.
When you figure that for you can spend 1500 more for an extra 42 horsepower (Ralliart) or another 4000 for a turbo ES/OZ and gain 55 horsies, I think it's an easy sell.
Although I prefer the boxy look of the 02-03s, I would take the Ralliart hands down. Take the factory power with the factory warranty. Besides, RRM is making all kinds of bolt ons as we speak.
The only reason for you to really go turbo is for the impeller whine, or to have a gauge that bounces around when you get on. ****, if you want that, just get a vac gauge and throw it on stock.

c'min from an anti ralliart... if you're looking for higher stock hp... get the ralliart, but if you want something that DOES look better than the ralliart, get the oz/es/ls/evo Oo lol
ralliart looks so ****ty haha
