Absolutely no audio! Please help..

Before I tell you the problem Ill tell you what "used" to work,

I had a Pioneer DEH-1200 stereo with two infinity rear 6'1/2s and two pioneer subs running off a targa 700w hexfet.

So I went to pop my trunk open to grab my backpack and watched in agony as my left speakers wiring came loose while the car was on. It swung and hit my amps positive terminal to one of my subs. I saw a large spark and everything shut off except the subs which had a hissing noise and sounded like crap. My amp and radios fuses are ok and my radio still works. But i have no sound. I even tried hooking up a new speaker and that didnt even work at all. Whats the problem? Did I kill all of my speakers and what do i have to do to fix it?

Did you check the amp wiring kit fuse connected to the car battery?

Yeah its fine, so are the two fuses inside the amp itself. What worries me tho is that my radio still works but none of my speakers do. I tried hooking up and extra speaker that was barely ever used and it still didn't work either, So could there be a short in a wire somewhere?

Final Destination 35: death has it out for your audio system!

(sorry, sparking wires flying around reminded me of one of those half dozen movies)

^Can you just grab a small bulb and start testing your wires? If nothing else, you should be able to localize the problem this way

So I brought it to 6th ave and they told me it would be a 3 hour job @ $60 and hour to fix the problem. Went to best buy and they said they'd have to charge $25 bucks every 15 minutes. Finally I went to PC Richards and the guy there didnt charge me a single penny and checked every inch of my car for a whole hour YAY PC RICHARDS AND SON!

So after checking my wiring and two of my speakers he told me that my head unit was dead even tho it turns on. It emmits no sound transfer. He also said my speakers should be fine since hooking them to a power source causes them to make a pop noise.

Hopefully that means my subs are ok too! but what head units do you guys suggest?

I need your help =P. So i got a new stereo and my speakers finally work again but ill be replacing my rear ones soon. But my sub does not even make a sound.

Theres 6 total rca ports in the back of my stereo and ive tried them all but no sound comes out at all. The remote, power, and ground are all connected and my amp kicks on but what could the problem be?

A quick check for me if you can

Take an iPod or something like it and connect a headphone jack to it with the other side being RCA, now connect it up to your 2ch or mono amp and see if the subs start hitting.

What he means is a RCA to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter, which you can plug into your amplifier and then into your phone/ipod/mp3 player that has a headphone jack (3.5mm)
