I got the Winterforce tires from tirerack on my lancer - LOVE THEM. I've had TONS of snow since Christmas, and have not gotten stuck anywhere yet.

Last winter was torture with the stock tires. Brakes=sliding right through stop signs with them for me. This winter I got Blizzacs and I have been driving through it all with barely any sliding at all.

i have pretty worn down stock tires (i have 31k on them) and i seem to have no trouble driving this car through the chicago winter weather (meaning freezing, light snow, spots of ice too), but of course the roads are basically FLAT so i cant say anything about hills.

Just be careful about stops because that's where u can get in trouble. Not being able to stop isn't as good as not being able to go Keep the speed at a speed you're comfortable at, don't try to pull ANYTHING, and just take it easy.

Hey man, Im up here in Winnipeg, Canda and we get a **** load of snow! The Lancer handles freakin great w/ the exception of not having abs. Have some fun with it, thats what the e-brake was made for!! GIVE ' ER!!!

I was a D1 drift king in the ice/snow here in the Couv in my Lancer.
Stock tires + front strut bar + e-brake maneuvers = tons of fun.
