Intake question???

Hey,
My buddy that im buying the RRM Intercooled turbo off of told me i need to buy the MAS adaptor plate and an air filter for it because my stock airbox broke when I installed the turbo. Where can I get this? I saw some on ebay but i would rather get a better brand. Thanks

You can always replace the filter element with a K&N or other element of your choice. What matters is getting that MAS adaptor, then you can put whatever brand filter as long as it fits.

What do you mean by your "stock airbox broke"? you dont need the stock airbox if your installing a turbo. However I do see why you would need an adapter plate cause the stock lancer MAS is rectangle shaped and not round.

Not really. Most full turbo kits, like the one from RRM, use custom made piping that brings the intake tubing next to the exhaust (turbo) manifold to connect to the turbo. (Hence how a turbocharger works).

Most of the time the filter for the intake side of the turbo is right off of the turbo like the picture below. This is because theres usually no extra room for more piping. Most people just use an Intercooler to cool incoming air.
