Question should I keep this on my car?

Hey all, so heres the deal, went to a local shop and picked up an intake that has the mitsu adapter built into the metal on the rear of it. So being the impatient *** that I am I slapped it on the car last night about 10 o'clock. Now heres my concern about this whole thing. I take the air box and air funnel out from near the grill and attach the intake right to the MAS and it seems to bolt right up to it and that all good however, theres a lot of room in there now and the filter isn't bolted securely to anything so it moved around a bit and i'm sure more when i'm going over rough terrain. I'm concerned about how much strain its putting on the rest of the system by moving around like that. Its pretty much wide open right now so I think a heat shielf would be good and I would like to find a way to re-integrate the air funnel back in so I can at least take some cooler air direct from the outside. Also keep in mind i've got an auto tranny. Concerns, advise, bring it all, thanks again.

np.. you could probably make your own sheild to save you some money, just get a peice of aluminum trace out the center where it would go... bend it accordingly and voila...
