I know what your thinking...Another GODDAM EXHUAST POLL...I just want our info to be updated...

 

You should add the Buschur Racing Exhaust (2.5" piping, DynoMax muffler or Magnaflow muffler) to this poll.

 

I don't think we will ever know what the best exhaust for the Lancer is. At this point it is all hearsay or personal prefrence. Untill someone puts a Lancer on a dyno and tests every exhaust system, these topics are pretty pointless. I think the most effective and inexpensive route would to get a high-flow performance muffler, high flow cat, and have a shop custom build the exhaust.

 

I have had the greddy on two cars now and never been
dissapointed at all. It's one thing for me to love the sound
but when people I know come up to me with compliments
then I'm even more happier

 

I have the Greddy Cat-Back and love it!

I use to have the Magnaflow Axelback which I loved as well.

But I did vote for the Greddy. I have no bad comments towards Magnaflow. I think I would've went with the Magnflow if the Cat-Back came out earlier. Both are great systems!

Lets say i get a muffler from HKS and do custom 2.25'' pipping... would the numbers be THAT much of a different

 

I've got a video of my car (cam'd out, 2.5" piping from first cat to the bumper) if anyone wants to hear an HKS Hi-Power muffler.

Just for future reference cat-back isn't a full exhaust. You're neglecting the downpipe and header. But that's just nitpicking. You may also want to use radio boxes instead of check boxes, because check boxes allow multiple responses, and if you're asking for a single choice, then radio boxes are the only way to go.

All that aside, I stand by my Buschur exhaust. I love the volume and tone. Yeah, it's pretty loud, but I've yet to hear an exhaust that could match its sexy deep tone a la Barry White. (Love is in the air...) See my (now ancient) review in the old parts review forum or run a search, if you want my full thoughts on the exhaust.

You know the only thing that I've found that sounds better than a 2.5" Buschur exhaust?
