Air intake for my car, Which one???

I have an 02 ES Automatic.....

One day I noticed after taking my car into a mechanic (long story forget that part) I was missing the plastic air duct piece that conects to the air filter box and goes down to the front of the car to get 'cooler' air. The dealership wants $70+tax for that plastic piece, screw that....

Basically right now I am sucking in Hot Air....

Whats an aftermarket air intake I can buy and put into my car for similar or close price range? And if someone has the plastic air duct piece I wouldn't mind putting it stock for cheap... let me know, I want to stop sucking in hot air.. Help!!

For that price, go Ebay. I'd recommend you spend a little more and get an SRI from RRM or RMR

Or you can make your own MAS adapter (or get one cheap) and then order a huge tapered oval cone from AJUSA and have a homegrown SRI

Which one of these don't place the filter right behind the battery? As we can see in the pic above the filter is right behind the battery, seems like a bad spot for sucking in hot air... Do ALL of the SRI's for lancers end up with the filter there? It just seems like a bad spot??

Bro, don't worry about it. Here's what you do. Jack up the front of the car. see ALL that plastic? take it out. The only parts you leave are the wheel wells and the pieces they're attached to. Take out the part that blocks the vent in your bumper, too. then you get flexible aluminum ducting (read: dryer hose) and some wire, and you run the dryer hose from the vent (suspended by the wire from the headlight housing) up to the filter. Suspending it while it's up there is a little tricky, but you'll figure it out.

Does it work? Yes. How do I know? Datalogging. My air intake temp is about 5 deg higher than ambient using this method. No, I'm not going to make a heatshield.
