Purchased an item off a forum member, everything is cool so far and he is a good guy, but curious the filter I bought from him he says it says "K&N Akimoto Racing" on it, is this a true K&N filter or what? any1 ever heard of that?

 

there is a company called akimoto racing that makes intakes... you probably bought one of their intakes but the dude prolly put a k&n into it

 

I think it's actually Racing Sports Akimoto. It's prolly a rebranded generic cotton element filter.

Doubt you'll see much of a difference in function.
