I am looking to purchase a Lancer GTS w/CVT, S&S, Navi, and the Touring package within the next few months unless you all tell me otherwise. I will be purchasing preowned 2010, 11, or 2012 and I have a few questions for you all! The Lancer is quite the ride now compared to my 04 OZ that I once owned. First off I understand that
has something called "Fuse" in the 2011+ models? How well does it work for those of you that have it? I have an iPhone and don't intend on switching in the future so compatibility seems fine. How are the new models in terms of reliability? I drove my 04 for nearly 100K with only one A/C issue everything else performed flawlessly the entire time. The Mitsu factory backup cam, can it be added to any 2008+ Lancer?
After reading reviews online it seems that the Lancer is still a solid vehicle but I still wanted to get the opinion of EvoM
I'll give you the backstory now if you care to read, otherwise please let me know how you feel about your Lancer. I bought my OZ Rally preowned when I was a freshmen in college and drove it for 90 some thousand miles before I traded it. I traded it for a safer and newer car a preowned Jetta which I loved! Best car I ever owned! Sadly the Jetta was totaled in January (not my fault) and my passengers and I walked away without a scratch. So having just graduated college I purchased my first new vehicle a 2012 Civic Si 4door since the new Jetta models did not seem to have the same quality of interior as my previous model and my friend got me a great deal as he works at a Honda dealership. Now 5 months later this is by far the WORST car I have ever owned, and am in the process of having the vehicle purchased back under the lemon law. I will never own a Honda again because of their customer service! So that puts me back in the market, and I have no desire to purchase a Lancer at its full purchase price as they don't seem to hold their value.
So that is my story let me know what you think of the 10-12 GTS CVT. Also I'm not buying another MT car, I'm over it.

Well I made my purchase, 2012 GT Touring w/Navi & Backup Cam! I did quite a bit of research and the Lancer still seems to be a great, solid car. I am loving it, I also opted to get the factory remote start kit. The kit is on order and I'll share more about that when it is installed as I really could not find a single piece of information about online. Here are some pics for those interested.
