Evos suck. Do not trade.

They are fast, handle like a go-kart and get all the ladies. Therefore, they are horrible.

You may be able to afford the car payment on an evo (or a GTR) but doesn't mean you can afford to maintain it much less modify it. And everyone who owns an evo knows that it all adds up fast.

So what has changed? You no longer need to save on gas?

He went way back in years, so he didn't really add much. The lancer was a 2010 I'm pretty sure, and the Evo is a semi-built 2005.

No I do and I still drive a quit a bit. But think I want something with a little more power and I've wanted to even for a while.

The conclusion from what I'm seeing is almost 50/50 lol. Don't get me wron I love the lacer but I find myself looking at upgrades and weighing the pros and cons. Pros being performance increase and cons being cost away from just getting an Evo. If I were to get one if most likely not just want an Evo I want it to be nicer so I'd have to do 08 or newer. Not wanting to spend more than 25-26 but I think my lancer and 8 on top should easily get me into something like that. Then I step back and say what kinda upgrades can I do with 8k or should I just save 8 grand and stick with what I have. All in my argument on do or don't i

If I were to get an Evo it would be my daily driver as there is no way I can afford two car payments and two in car insurances. But I did kinda want a Ducati as my DD if I got an Evo. Better fuel economy and that way maybe I could have both

As many have mentioned, save up and just get an Evo.

I bought a Lancer and my insurance for 2 cars is cheaper than insurance on just my MR2 Spyder.

I would try to get the evo if I was in your position. The money used for the modifications (depending how much you put into the lancer) could be enough to get an evo.

i bought an 03 ES about two years ago and im planning on some mods( bodykit, paint, rims, intake and exaust, as well as some interior mods) and im gonna start saving for an Evo at the start of the year, but my wife will drive the ES and ima drive the Evo, and as far as insurance is concerned, e-surance quoted me at less than 100 a month for two cars full coverage, under 25 single. so its affordble.

I've always wanted an Evo, ever since I played Gran Turismo and rally raced the Evo VI. I bought a lancer cause I'm in the same boat as you. I drive a ton, didn't have the money for an evo that I would want, and wanted something newer for my price range. Mitsubishi's are reliable cars, but when it comes down too it, they're still cars. Cars are going to have issues and break down when they're older, even with low miles. I was sick of paying repairs on my old car, so I went with the nicest Lancer I could afford at the time. I got everything I wanted, fuel economy, awesome looks, decent get up and go (obviously nowhere near an evo's haha), and reliability. I'm having fun with the Lancer and doing cheap mods, but I still plan on trading it for an evo in the next couple years when I'm more financially stable, and can afford the evo I want not just a spur of the moment deal. it's your decision though, man. Either car is going to be awesome yk?
