How many miles on your lancer??
Just bought an 04 OZ 212k
Auto, 212k on it, very clean body and interior, nothing major to do, but I will:
- Change timing belt/water pump/tensioner
- Belts
- A/C compressor, bypassed and obvious pulley problem (not as expensive as the Saab I had)
- A/T fluid (should I use a substitute?)
- Heater knob, the obvious problem
- Oil with synthetic or hi performance alternative
- Coolant flush
- Probably a valve cover gasket once we see where the other leak is
Replacing a 98 Saab 900 SET Convertible, this looks like a lot less trouble. I'm hopeful this will get a lot more miles. My '95 Explorer got 318K before it was rolled. I'm not hard on cars, though the Phoenix summers are.
