Mine had the option of fac or aftermarket sun roof its an 02 and i chose aftermarket cuse its auto (press button and it rols back) very nice when driving a 5spd . Ill post pics when i get em developed. Btw any one live in seattle , wa area with a lancer? I have only seen 3 in my area

 

No factory sroof option in '02. But here is an '03 with it.

LOL i didnt say that it comes with it but we did have the option down at tacoma 5 star for a fac one or a aftermarket on a 02 they just order a replacement for an 03 and install it on a 02 if u want fac. So yes u can get a sun roof thats fac style on the 02. ill post pics of my aftermarket one 2 show how much nicer it is and maybee a video

 

hope the 4g94 gets a 5 year or better run, if they do have a mid level evo/oz hybrid thing as rumored I would think that too could muck ish up. The higher horsepowered car is sure to draw its own crowd that would get better response from aftermarketers. Kaminari wing is the only dope wing for the OZ. E7 makes it look like a wanna be e7.. RICE

yeah the dealer told me they werent going to offer a sunroof on the lancer...dirty bastard. Anywho new lancers might weigh more to make up for the structural integredy? BOO ya in yo face!!! uhhh...if that is the case!

 

the '03 is EXACTLY the same as the '02. and as pimpson said i hope they stay that way for at least a couple more years.

 

There selling so many lancers now I'm sure they'll keep them the same for a few years. (WE ALL HOPE)

 

GP, can you answer the questions about the structural issues that are brought up by the sunroof installation? I looked into it, and it significantly decreases rigidity, also compromises rollover saftey as well as side impact. Has Mitsu solved this problem?
