It's pointless. One car dynoed does not give definitive results.

I think should dyno for R&D purposes.. Not for advertising the product because everyones #'s will differ.

Every vehicle is a different situation, they all have their own set of variables, and if you make a claim someone inevitably is going to stick it to you with that claim. The diffecence may be because of gas, air temperature, elevation, etc...

Another thing that I am aware of is every dyno is a little different, the dyno at Jims Garage may read a little higher than the one at Joes Garage. If I owned one of these companies I would be hesitant to make any exact dyno claims at all other than estimates.

I imagine they have to protect themselves from Daddy Warbuck's son Johnny whose turbo kit only made 189whp when it was supposed to make 190whp and he has all the money in the world to sue them out of bussiness. I dont blame them a bit.
reguardless, they should still post the dyno sheets.

Do you honestly think they are losing business for not posting dyno's? I think not.

research and development for the product costs quite a bit as it stands, throwing dyno time on there for an intake, exhaust, new plug wires, etc. isn't really that realistic. for something along the lines of a turbo, SC, ecu, etc., it would make sense but for cheaper parts, it seems like a waste for the company.
Research and development should include dyno time. If not, what the hell is the point of R&D? It would just be "Development". Remember, it's not like there's this dude in his basement make-shifting a intake or bending a header or whatever. These products are made from professional, (and hopefully reputable) companies. I should hope they go through a bunch of diffrent designs for their products, until the dyno proves one to be the best. Therefore, it should not cost then any more money to post dyno charts.

Also, it's ok to have all kinds of dyno charts from cars w/diffrent mods. Then, people w/comprable mods can see what they can expect from what they have.

As for the turbo, the dyno sheet should def. be posted on their website. It's not just about peak power! Aren't we intrested in when the turbo would spool up? Are we curious on how the turbo lag would change w/ and w/o an intercooler? These are questions that could be answered w/ dyno sheets.

i totally agree with project, every compnay that develops really good aftermarket parts (GReddy, Blitz, Injen, Apexi, etc) dyno's their product during development until they get it just right, thats what makes these parts so good.

when i see a company that doesnt dyno their products, or doesnt post the sheets, that tells me the company is not pleased with the results, and instead of perfecting the product, they just release it to sell the product and make money.
