Question Any other sportback owners??

Just bought myself a Lancer Juro Sportback 2 liter Diesel. (UK)

Are there any other Brits on here with similar cars?
Also, which board would be apprpriate for this car as I see this is very US orientated
Cheers.

Not in the UK, but a fellow Sportback owner here. Do you have the rear spoiler on the hatch?

I got a 2011 WW GTS Sportback and a 2013 Blue EVO MR. I should go take some pictures of both of my cars together. But yes I like the Lancer that much, I drive the Evo the wife drives the sportback.

Yeah, has the spoiler at the top of the window.
Do you have Diesel sportbacks, where you are from?

We don't have diesel Lancers here. Only a choice of 3 gas (petrol) engines.

The sportbacks look much better with the rear spoiler, but it appears for 2014 they discontinued it.

I'm in New York.

Nice.

Well, I am painting my Calipers soon, And going to paint my exhaust & box black as it looks like it's getting a bit corroded - Give it a bit of protection.

Has anyone had any joy remapping it?

My wife has a 2010 Ralliart Sportback and she loves the hell out of it. I have to say, I DO enjoy driving it. I live in TX but I'm actually from York originally. Been here about 15 years.

Bet texas is a bit better than York ! lol
Newcastle originally, now Yeovil.

I'm assuming that The Ralliarts use the same body as the Juro that I have. Trying to maybe source some parts to spruce up the look at some point, but I'm at a loose end locating anything here!

I have the 2 litre diesel sportback, I live in scotland. Yeah sourcing parts is a bit tricky here as the car isn't exactly common! What stuff are you looking to get?

I've painted the calipers on mines looks much better, I have the GS2 spec but bought the GS3/4 alloys. Also about your back box.. If your planning a remap just get it removed, that's what I did to mines and it makes the car look far better and it sounds not bad surprisingly. I also took out the normal airbox and fitted a cone filter, I just attached it to the MAF and you can here the turbo spool extremely well.

Have you done anything to your car?

Done nothing as of yet, but want to, would love a aggressive looking rear bumper, new fancy looking headlights, new taillights..... but isn't going to happen as I can't find ANYTHING!

EVOm is very US oriented and the Lancer section has really slowed down over the past few years. Nice car.

Yeah, like I said it's not a common car here so companies in the UK won't put any money into R&D for the car due to the very limited customer base. If your looking for the car to be more aggressive the the simple fix is to lower it, a set of H&RS or Eibach spring will lower the car by about 1.5inch and that will make a world of difference! It will also help with the handling as I have found the car can be a bit boaty if it's just myself in the car, with people in it there is a lot of grip there. If you have the GS2 then it's best to get new alloys as the GS2 standard alloys are pretty slim as they are only 6 or 6.5 inch wide.

With regard to your headlights, you could do what I'm going to do. Remove them, then hear the sealant that is holding the plastic cover on. Once the cover is off, mask off the reflectors and then paint the rest of the headlight black, will look very smart!

Also how do you upload pictures? Means I could show you. I'm not sure what can be done about the tail lights though

A lot of the stuff for this car has to be DIY as there is hardly anything you can buy off the shelves

There is a lot of useful stuff on the forums you just need to dig around, everything that is for the saloon and ralliart (except for the mechanics if it's a petrol) is basically the same for the sportback.

Yeah I saw a video about the headlights. worried masking any of the reflectors could fail MOT. And smoking tail lights could fail also!?

These will fit I am an epic noob at all this, don't even know if these would work as its 'projector' and mine are not lol.

Being as noobish as I am, will it be best to get a garage to fit the new springs?
