RRM Piggy Back ECU install (Auto)
What should have been a thirty minute to an hour install too myself and N1te much longer because the two of us didn't know what the hell we were doing. Here are a few pics for reference. I'll post up a few pics that might also help with the install as well later.
Not the rubber grommet:

The actual rubber grommet is located directly behind the passenger front strut and has to be pulled out.
Gabe at RRM sent us this pic... this is the hose you need to pull.

PS- Gabe at RRM is my hero. If I were a chick I'd be all like, "can I have your baby..." But I'm not. But he is still cool.

Anyone have the wiring diagram they could send me ? I just purchased an RRM Piggyback unit this week, and the guy didn't have the wiring diagram anymore
... this would help me so much, i searched and searched, still empty handed.

13) Connect the Piggy Back’s vacuum line to the line provided and route it to the intake manifold. Use the Tee provided to connect it to the same line used for the stock fuel regulator then cut off a piece of the supplied line to connect to the manifold where the stock regulator was connected.. There is a rubber grommet sealing a hole just behind the passenger side strut. Remove that to route vacuum line from inside the car to manifold.[/B]

When I replaced the coil pack, it fixed the misfire.
I pretty much narrowed it down to that. The 4th cylinder was misfiring. I changed the plugs. Didn't work. Changed the coil pack, it fixed it.
Mitsu might be able to diasgnose that. Also you can purchase a little tester thing that test the coil pack for a spark. I have one, the tester kept showing a spark for that coil pack. So it could still be sparking, but still misifiring at some points I guess.
Try also posting a WTB thread for a coil pack. I have bought other radom engine parts off here from people who have spare engines or an engine from a wrecked Lancer.
