Buying a Lancer cheap
I have a friend who has a lancer he doesn't want anymore. Basically his gf stole his car and drove it drunk and ran into a small pole. It's like a 2001-2003 lancer es
Radiator's busted, front bumper busted, headlight etc. Mostly cosmetic. He had it towed to a shop, then towed to his house. He got a quote from the shop that it'd be like 800-1000 to fix. Since he has no mechanical skills at all, I offered to fix it cheap and he said he'd rather sell it so he can buy a truck he's been looking at for a minute.
He's willing to sell it to me for like $600 or less Car only has 139,000 miles
I'm going to look at it in a few days and see what's up. Hopefully it turns out to be a sweet deal.
My current car is an 01 Altima I got for $300 because the p.o thought it needed valve repair when it was just an intake gasket.
I've just always loved the look of Lancers
