3. you will probably need a new proporational valve and stuff
4. then you will have to get the new abs computer and sensors
5. the ralliart also have EBD, which your ecu can't do.. so it's another hurdle

at the end of the day.. you won't get much better performance..
already in my stack of notes never planned on using ralliart parts.

evo parts would be overkill on our cars. i might resort to ralliart parts out of convenience and the possibility that our rear trailing arms might be specific to only the lancer CS platform. anyhow, i'm broke as hell and wouldn't do this mod until i do the fronts first to match so this might take a while. i'll definately end up doing it thought.

true, but the statement in the last post says "i might". I AM looking for multiple possibilities and there seems to be a platform specific problem that MIGHT cause me to use ralliart parts. there's still research to be done. the fact is that between my two posts i got my lazy *** up and started measuring things. that's where i came to the possible conclusion that the rear trailing arms of the mirage CJ platform didn't crossover to our CS platform. i might have measured wrong. i am hoping for compatability with older cars to make parts dirt cheap. i'm still working on it.

Some of the Galant's share the proper bolt pattern and may be relatively close in dimension. May be worth looking in to since they are more than a dime a dozen.

Sometimes cheaper matters more than easier...

But also it can be that the project that isn't the easiest to "do" can be the easiest solution later. It may take some work for rhyzin to get say Galant brakes to work, but once he figures it out it may be easier for the rest of us to do that conversion than to do the ralliart conversion.

Later,

Steve

Well I have a question for everyone... How hard is it making our brakes 5 bolt?

I have these really really nice rims, but they're 5 bolt *cries*

heres a question while we are doing all this to our brakes, this is for those of us who didn't have a lot of money when we baught our lancers and baught the es without antilock brakes, is it possible to perform these upgrades and go a level farther and put in the antilock system froma ralliart as well?

why? i have an "es" i think that would be to much work for little performance.

Why the hell would you bring this thread back that contains a ridiculous amount of wrong info? Someone says the RA rear brakes will fit an 02-03 lancer, just cost a lot from the dealer. This thread doesn't have much good info. I think I'm going to close it. There are better threads about rear discs or bigger front discs. This thread is just not a very good one.
