this is the 3m moulding tape, the red one used on those door moulding. with the small lights used today it can usually hold it. unless you are using the hella bigger size driving lamps.
Well....
Call me stupid, and I don't necessarily endorse this product, but do search on E-bay. They have remote control fog lights. All the wires hook up under the hood. They are turned on by a small remote transmitter. Never used them, so I can't say they are great or suck. Just thought I would pass it on.
my friend had remote switches for the foglamps on his latest generation civic because he can't find blank grommets in the firewall. for some unknown reasons the remote will act funny sometimes.
Yeah the fog lamps with a relay/receiver under the hood to power the whole system and a radio transmitter in the car is way easier to install than the old wire switches...it looks cleaner too most of the time
Streetlancer: you may have read one of my earlier posts regarding installing fogs. We couldn't find the grommet that night (it was late, we were tired- need any other excuses
). At any rate, I looked again and I found the grommet- it's right where HighestOlive said. It's on the passengers side- as far over as you can go (look behind the passenger's strut tower). there's a cutout in that fire retardant they've lined the engine compartment with. Sure, it's farther to go than if
had, say, put the damned thing on the side you're gonna need it on. But, it's there.
Friday=paycheck
Saturday=fogs

There is a much easier way than drilling a hole in your fire wall or going to the passenger side and then going back. On you the drivers side fender just remove the plastic clips that hold the inner fender liner (that black plastic thing) you may have to take the wheel off., after that look up and you will see the cable that controls the hood latch machenism just follow it and there will be a rubber grommet that the cable and a wiring harness go through run you wires through there and then remove the plastic section under the steering wheel ( 2 screws & a 10 mm bolt on the fuse junction block). keep your wires hidden (you dont want a tacky looking ghetto rig do you?)
after you finish that mount your relay and inline fuse close to the battery ( to keep resistance down to a minimum) mount your fog lights and groung your electrical system and reconnect the battery and your done
