RR wheel locked, need self adjuster for drum brake
2002 Lancer here. Right rear wheel locked up. After removing the drum, parts and springs fell out. The part that got damaged beyond repair is the self adjusting brake/nut. I am having a hard time finding this part. There are two lancers at my local pull a part and will try to get the parts tomorrow to repair my Lancer. Does any one know the correct name for this part and where do you get parts online? I was surprised that Rock Auto doesn't carry this item.
Everything is back in the car, I did backed up the self adjusting screw almost all the way in to allow the drum to fit with the new brake shoes.
The self adjusting bolt is in the position it came out of the donor car, rhe drum didn't fit over the new brake shoes, so I closed it almoat all the way to allow the drum to fit in.

This is how far I opened the self adjusting screw, so it could slide over the brake cylinder. Since this is the back of the brakes, you want to have this pre installed then just slide over the cilynder at the wheel, then install the retaining pins on the brake shoes, lower spring, parking brake cable and primary spring last.

Hey, obviously I'm a couple years late to the party, but how was your E-brake after this repair, and did you adjust it after? I just replaced my drums and shoes and my ebrake may as well not be attached. I can't imagine that means anything good for my normal brakes. Thanks for putting this writeup on here. Still helping people with base model lancers 3 years later.
