Hey everyone, glad to become a part of the community. Quick question concerning the buttons on the door handles.

I have a 2013 GT and it came with the FAST key. When I come out of the car and close the doors, I can press either the button on the driver side or passenger side door handle to lock the vehicle. However, I can't press them to open the vehicle, and I don't have the sensor on the door handles to open the vehicle. So every time I'm about to enter the vehicle I have to take out the fast key and press the unlock button on the fast key to open the doors.

Just wondering if this is how it's suppose to be or if something is up with mine. I should mention that the person I bought it from hooked up a Viper Alarm, so I was wondering if that could be an issue.

 

The button push should unlock the door as well.
I do not know how to fix it or if it is even in the menus you can get to.

 

That's so weird. I took out the Viper alarm completely today and it still doesn't work. Also, if you look at your fast key while opening the trunk or locking the doors with the buttons on the vehicle itself, the red light blinks slightly. For me it blinks when I hit the door handle button to lock...but zero reactions when I try to unlock. Ugh
