Considering a 2015 Lancer GT (Manual) ...Pls Advise.

Hello

I would appreciate your thoughts warnings and blessings on the following:
I am considering purchasing a 2015 Lancer GT (MANUAL) at 20k miles (for abt 12k).

Please consider these facts:

The Car: is sold as is from a used car dealer (not a dealer ship) ....The car shifts well and rides pretty well in my opinion...

My background: I have always had older used cars (pre 2000 accord camry and corollas) and I have never been in a "new car" ...so I can safely say I am easily impressed (ie. I may not know enough to appreciate interior or paint quality etc) . I am not a "kid'....middle aged man with family etc...so I dont think i will beat up the car but I have a small interest in Autocross. I have a reasonable amt of experience with stick shift. I have drive atleast 10000 miles in various stick shift cars.

Usage: Mostly local use with an occasional long trip about 8 hours. I live close to NYC so there may be occasions where I am in bumper to bumper traffic.Occasional skiing and camping needs.

Comparison Metrics: I have NONE...I have always driven old used cars and I am not exposed to any "fine dining" with cars. However the first car i learnt to drive was a suzuki rally car and I "used" to be a spirited driver before my ***** hung down to my knees. So ..please assume I am country bumpkin and advise me.

Please let me know what you think of (a) this deal (b) any questions/things I should get checked and (c) common problems with this car?
Would this be considered an autocross car? and of course any general positive or negative thoughts abt the maintenance and upkeep of this car) ...

Please advise. I would appreciate your thoughts:
Cheers
Vas

I would like some general opinions on the 2015

I have that exact car, in white with a cold air and a short throw! Fun to drive. I bought new, and have put about 30k on it. no problems yet! buut when its full of camping gear and people it can be a little gutless.

Its a new car but it drives more like an early 2000s car, it was already prototyped in 2005, so it might not be all to different. The build quality and interior quality is representative of mid 2000s compact cars. Handling is pretty good though.
