How much should I be asking for a 2003 Lancer ES stock 107k miles?
So, this was my first car, and Ive had it for 17 years now. This car got me through high school, then college, and now deep into my career. Its time to get something new. Seeing how this is my only car ever, I have no idea how to sell it or how much I should be asking for it? I dont expect much (given the age), but at the same time I dont want to be ripped off.
Details:
- 2003 Lancer ES (Silver)
- Located in Orange County, California
- The car has 107k miles
- never been in an accident,
- I have all service records
- New Denso Radiator
- New Denso fuel pump
- Tires have 20k miles on them (rated 50k)
- New brake pads
- New coils, new sparkplugs and wires
- New stereo (pioneer), was put in a few months ago so that I have bluetooth, hands free calling
- Has interstate battry (1.5 years old).
- Belts/hoses are in good shape.
Car had all its major maintenance done at proper intervals. Last big one was at 80k when brake fluid was flushed/replaced, transmisson fluid was replaced, power steering fluid was replaced (all of these were bought from mitsubishi dealer and were proper Mitsubishi fluids).
The only thing to ever go out on this car was the O2 sensor about 3 years ago, and was replaced with proper Denso one. It has never left me stranded, never failed to start.
Its old, but has relatively decent mileage (about 6k per year on average). How much should I be looking to sell it for? Also any recommendations where/how to sell it? Since this is my only car ever I've never done this before. Someone told me i can take it to CarMax? Is that a good/bad move?
Thanks for any advice!
